CORVO

With an area of just 17 km2, Corvo is the smallest and the northernmost island of the Azores archipelago with population of approximately 468 inhabitants. The project focuses on the geographic limits of a place and how to adapt to such restrictions. What is isolation and how fair is it so say that nothing happens? Are our anxieties and worries the same here where everybody is irreplaceable? The resulting images consist of a brief approach to the mundane scenery and the quotidian life – with its peculiarities, characters and relationships, and how to adapt to the rhythm of the island.
