I’m curious about the definition and interpretation of the alter ego and the expression of another version of oneself.

Coming from the Latin, ‘alter ego’ means ‘other I’; a second self, an alternate personality, a constant companion, a trusted friend or another identity (secret or not).   

What consciousness one wants to present to the world? Are alter egos a bridge between what we are and the possibilities of who we might be?

I tried to look for answers at Comic Con conventions in London where anyone can be whoever they need to be.
